Safe Deposit Boxes must be delivered no earlier than 120 days after November 1 per IC 32-34-1-27(C). The Safe Deposit Box Annual Report, however, should be filed online by November 1.
- If you are reporting safe deposit boxes, a separate Safe Deposit Box annual report should be filed online.
- Print the safekeeping report when finished.
- Place a copy of the Individual Safe Deposit Box Inventory sheet with the corresponding contents.
- If a box is drilled and contains no contents, do not include the box in your report.
- Our office will NOT accept any boxes belonging to other states. If an owner's last known address is not in Indiana, you MUST report that box to the correct state. Wrong state deliveries will either be refused at the window or promptly returned at the Holder's expense.
NOTE: This office prefers that all the boxes on a report be delivered at one time. If you cannot deliver all the boxes at one time you must provide this office with a list of delivery dates.
